Rome, Florence and the Tuscan countryside by Train, Bike and Back Roads
About the Itinerary
Spend 9 days exploring Italy’s highlights through a consciously designed, low-impact journey. Begin in Rome with its iconic sights and a memorable farm-to-table dinner in the Trastevere neighbourhood, staying in carefully selected accommodation with sustainability certification. Travel by high-speed train to Florence, reducing your carbon footprint while allowing you to sit back, relax and enjoy the journey. Discover Florence on a guided walking tour before setting off on an e-bike adventure through the rolling hills of Chianti where you will visit an olive oil mill and an organic winery. From Florence, pick up a car to explore the Tuscan countryside at a slower pace, stopping in small hilltop towns along the way. Meet local producers, discover biodynamic wines and roll up your sleeves for a hands-on Italian cooking experience at a working farm.
